After a few years of no holiday Parties, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are back! And discount tickets are available!
If you’re like me, you absolutely love the Parties in Magic Kingdom. I mean, what’s not to love? There’s fewer people in line for attractions, free treats, and special characters. The whole night is magical.
But, much as I love the Halloween Parties, it’s a big blow to your wallet. That’s why I am always looking for ways to save on my Disney vacations. From attending some of the early Parties, when they’re cheaper, to purchasing discount tickets, I’m willing to do what it takes to save every penny possible on my trips.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party
Where: Magic Kingdom Park
When: 7PM to 12AM (Tickets can be used to enter as early as 4PM)
Fun Festivities
- Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular
- It’s not a Disney Party without fireworks. Hosted by Jack Skellington, this firework show is full of projection effects, lasers, lights.
- Mickey’s “Boo-To-You” Halloween Parade
- This is perhaps one of my all time favorite parades at Disney. Between the Headless Horseman, the gravediggers scraping their shovels on the ground, and the smell of sweet candy in the air as Vanellope Von Schweetz rolls on by, it’s a must-see for me.
- Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular
- Any Hocus Pocus fan knows it’s not Halloween without the Sanderson sisters. The show can only be seen during the Halloween Party, and features other villains such as Dr. Facilier, Ooogie Boogie and Maleficent.
- The show typically has multiple run times, so no worries if you miss the first one.
- Cadaver Dans Barbershop Quartet
- The Dapper Dans turn into the Cadaver Dans for Parties only. You can find them in front of The Frontier Trading Post, in Frontierland.

- Storybook Circus Disney Junior Jam
- Head on over to Storybook Circus for some fun with your favorite Disney Junior pals. Make sure to bring your best dancing shoes!
- Monstrous Scream-O-Ween Ball
- Mike Wazowski and Sulley are hosting their own dance party over in Tomorrowland, at the Rockettower Plaza Stage. Who do you think has the best moves?
- Special Meet-and-Greet Characters
- One of the main reasons that the lines for attractions are so low during Parties is because rare characters are out to Meet-and-Greet everyone. Among these rare characters are Jack Skellington and Sally and the Seven Dwarfs. Popular characters can also be seen dressed up in their own Halloween costumes. These Meet-and-Greets get long lines. So, it’s best to get to the Party early if you want to see them.

Costumes and Trick Or Treating
Everyone is welcome to dress up for the Halloween Parties and trick or treat. Everyone gets a bag and goes around Magic Kingdom collecting more candy than anyone can eat in their lifetime.
If you have allergies, you can head to the Town Square Theater to pick up allergy-friendly treats. If you don’t know where to go, look for the Mickey and Minnie Meet-and-Greet, at the front of the Park.
But, I have a few recommendations:
You should also remember that Fall in Florida is still very warm. While kids look adorable in Halloween Costumes, they will get hot very quickly.
Also take into consideration how long it will take you to get in and out of rides due to your costume. We’ve gone to a few Halloween Parties now and one thing that still sticks in my mind is a group of girls dressed up as characters from Inside Out.
They wore the cutest tutus. But, I also remembered seeing them getting in and out of rides, fiddling with the tutus as they got in and stuffing them in whatever space they could to keep it inside the ride.
If you’re there for the candy, the, character interactions, and Halloween photos, then go all out. But, if you’re there to take advantage of the low wait times, I’d suggest something more practical and skip the tutus.
While everyone is welcome to dress up, there are still some guidelines everyone must follow. To avoid being turned away at the gate, check Disney’s Guidelines, if you have any doubt about what you can and can not wear.
But, it’s pretty simple. As long as your clothing is family friendly, not offensive, and you do not carry anything resembling a weapon, you should be fine.

Undercover Tourist
Undercover Tourist is my favorite place to get discount Tickets to Disney, Universal Studios, and more.
Not only are they an Authorized Walt Disney World Ticket Seller, they also offer a money back guarantee. You really can’t get any better than that.
I have done business with them professionally, as well as as personally. So, the fact that I still rave about their service speaks volumes.
Need a rental car?
If great prices weren’t enough, Undercover Tourist customers get 50% off rental car prices when you buy your discount tickets through them.
We went to Orlando this past summer and rented a minivan for less than $400 for 7 days!

Everywhere else I looked wanted $800+ for the same exact rental period. I tried every trick in the book to try and get a lower price elsewhere. No one even came close to the offer that Undercover Tourist gave me.
And that’s why I continue to do business with them.

Ready to book your magical vacation?
Planning a trip can be overwhelming. Don’t do it alone. Get a helping hand.
