Despite what the calendar says, Christmas is here. Well, at least at the Disney Parks…
The trees are being decorated, the decorations are scattered throughout the Parks, and the Parties have begun!
But, as much as I love the Holiday Season, they’re a pretty big blow on the budget.
If you know me, you already know that I’m always up for a good discount. This is why I am happy to spread the information on how you can save on your next Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Tickets.
Discounts On Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Tickets
2019 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party Dates
- November 8, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, 22, 24
- December 1, 3, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17, 19, 20, 22
Tickets and Pricing
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a separately ticketed event. This means that you must purchase a Party ticket to attend.
If you are in the Magic Kingdom on the day of a Party, Cast Members will start ushering Guests without a Party Ticket towards the exit at 6pm.
The Party officially starts at 7 PM. But, if you have a Party ticket, you can use it to get into Magic Kingdom as early as 4 PM. The Christmas festivities and treat stations won’t be brought out until 7 PM, but you enjoy 3 extra hours in the Park.
Higher price generally means higher demand. Disney knows when Guests are most excited about going to the Parks, so they price their tickets accordingly.
So, if you’re looking for a less crowded Party, the ticket prices generally reflect that. Disney will try to boost attendance on less popular night by offering lower pricing.
The exception to this is the first couple Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parties. Seeing the Parks literally change seasons overnight is magical.
So, many families will plan their vacations to attend both Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party within the same trip.
With the hype over a brand new season and decorations, the last Halloween Parties and the first couple Christmas Parties do sell out.
Saving Money on Tickets
Go Early in the Season
As I recently stated, Disney prices their tickets according to popularity.
So, if you don’t mind celebrating Christmas in early to mid November, you will spend much less than Guests attending Christmas Parties in December.
Purchase Ahead of Time
Tickets purchased at Walt Disney World on the day of the event cost more than if you purchased them ahead of time.
By purchasing your tickets at least 24 hours in advance, you save $10 per ticket. The only exception is December 20 and 22, 2019. These Parties do not qualify for the discount.
The Advanced Sales Pricing is not easily seen since it does not show you’re receiving a discount on your order.
But, if you’ve been debating going to the Party and you wait until the day of your Party to purchase your tickets, you will see a price difference.
If you’ve ever seen the price increase, this is why
If you’re going to purchase tickets through a third party vendor, I recommend Undercover Tourist.
Not only are they an Authorized Walt Disney World Ticket Seller, I have personally purchased tickets through them with no problem.
Their claims are all true. And as a customer who chose to receive my tickets via email, they came exactly when they claimed they would. They also easily link to My Disney Experience.
The same $10 Advanced Sales Pricing is applied in addition to any savings they are able to provide.
So, if you’re looking for a way to maximize savings, this is the way to do it.
But, since you will have to link the tickets to My Disney Experience yourself, this option is best for Guests who have experience using the app/website.
Purchasing Through a Disney Travel Agent
If you need a little extra help linking your tickets or have questions about Disney Parties, purchasing through a Disney Travel Agent is the best choice for you.
Whether or not you purchased a Disney Vacation Package through me, you get the same level of customer service that I provide to all of my Clients.
However, as much as I love performing miracles, once a Party sells out, it’s out of my hands.
Travel Agents pull tickets from the same system Walt Disney World uses.
This means we give you the same $10 Advanced Sales Pricing that Disney does. But, it also means that once they sell out, we don’t have any more to sell.
