5 Reasons You Should Go On A Disney Cruise

November 8, 2019

When you go on a Disney Cruise, you’re in for something special.

Just like the Disney Parks, the Disney Cruise Line gets a reputation of being “just for kids.”

While children do enjoy the Disney Cruises, so do adults!

Whether you’re planning a trip with the girls, planning a honeymoon, or planning a trip with your significant other, here’s why you should go on a Disney Cruise at least once in your life.

5 Reasons You Should Go On A Disney Cruise

Your Meals Are Included

Imagine having unlimited access to all of your favorite foods. When you’re on a Disney Cruise, you don’t have to imagine. It’s all included in the cost.

Meals can be a large hassle (and expense) for any vacation. Where are you going to eat? What are you going to eat? And if you have dietary restrictions or allergies, will there be anything for you to eat?

Fortunately, Disney Cruises are extremely accommodating. Not only is there an option to alert the Cruise Line of your restrictions at the time of booking, you also receive the same server throughout your entire trip.

They get to know you and your family, so you don’t have to worry about getting served something that can’t eat.

Character Meet and Greets

Meeting your favorite Disney character is always a great time.

But, seeing them on a Disney cruise is extra special. Thanks to themed events, they have special costumes that you won’t see at any of the Theme Parks.

Not only does this mean you can see your favorite character multiple times, but the costume changes are perfect for getting fun photos.

Two Words…Castaway Cay

Castaway Cay is Disney’s private island in the Bahamas and is exclusive to the Disney Cruise Line.

Most of the Caribbean and Bahamian Cruises sail to Caribbean Cay at least once. If you’re lucky, you may even get 2 days on this magical island.

There are private areas, just for adults, as well as areas for the whole family.

If you love snorkeling, you may even find some famous friends hidden in the sand below.

No matter what you decide to do, everyone has one thought in common. Castaway Cay is one of the most magical places you will every visit.

See Countries You May Not See Otherwise

Anyone can book a flight to any of the ports that Disney Cruise Line sails to. But, realistically, what are the odds that you’ll ever book that flight?

When you go on a cruise, you may experience things you didn’t even realize you wanted until you get there.

Excursions can be as simple or as lengthy as you want. And with the Disney Cruise Line app, they’re extremely easy to book.

Flexibility To Vacation However You Want

Rest and Relaxation

When we go to the Disney Parks, we tend to run from one attraction to another without giving much thought to resting. We’ll rest when we get home, right?

But, Disney Cruises have a much more relaxed atmosphere. You won’t have to go far before finding someplace to sit down and possibly take a nap.

Or if you’re looking for the ultimate relaxation experience, you may want to book an appointment at the Senses Spa and Salon.

Family Fun

While relaxing is all fine and dandy, if you’re like me, you can’t sit still for long before wanting to get up and move around.

Luckily, there are plenty of entertainment on board to keep me busy.

The pool, hot tub, and water slides are always a hit. But, sporty families also enjoy the basketball court, mini golf, and other on-deck games.

Once the sun goes down, or the weather is less than desirable, there are plenty of stage shows, movies, game shows, karaoke, and more to keep you busy.

Adults Only

While the majority of the ship is geared towards families of all ages, there are certain areas of the ship that are just for adults.

Looking forward to a date night with your significant other? Drop the kids off at one of the the youth clubs and enjoy an adult-only outing.

Remy and Palo are both adult-only restaurants. Reservations to Palo are available for brunch and dinner on all 4 ships. However, you will only find Remy on the Disney Dream and Fantasy.

If you’re looking for a little more relaxation, dip your toes into one of the adult-only pools and hot tubs.

Need a little more entertainment in your life? Guests 18 years old and older are welcome to hang out at the nightclubs and lounges.
