Disneyland is getting a brand new Parade in 2020 called Magic Happens.
Joining Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway and the new “Marvel Land”, Magic Happens is added to the list of new additions making its way to the Disneyland Resort.
At the 2019 D23 Expo, Bob Chapek gave us a peek at some new floats, costumes, and music score.
“Magic Happens” Parade Is Coming to Disneyland in 2020
Promising to be a mix of classic and new stories for every generation, Magic Happens will be be led by Mickey Mouse and the gang, as the Parade makes it way down Main Street USA.
Coco
Finally, Coco will be getting its own float in this new Parade. And Miguel, of course, will be leading the way.
A brightly colored bridge, adorned with marigolds, combines the Land of the Living and the Land of the Dead. Miguel, Dante, alebrije spirit animals, and Miguel’s familia will all be represented on this new float.
Moana
Moana will also be getting her own float for the new daytime parade.
This beautiful float, inspired by the ocean, that Moana loves so much, showcases the magic of the ocean as she sails on her voyager wa‘a (or canoe).
Sleeping Beauty
The grand finale celebrates magical moments from classic Disney stories, including Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather, the fairies from “Sleeping Beauty”, who transform Princess Aurora’s gown from pink to blue and back again.
