Like Kilimanjaro Safari? You’ll LOVE The Wanyama Safari At Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

March 27, 2019

The Wanyama Safari is a semi-private tour that takes you around the amazing Savanna at Animal Kingdom Lodge in Walt Disney World.

Much like Kilimanjaro Safari, in Animal Kingdom, you will hear facts about the animals you’re seeing as you drive around in a safari vehicle.

But, the experience is much more private and in-depth than any ride you would experience in the Theme Parks.

And once your tour is finished, you’ll walk over to Jikp, where you receive a multi-course meal, all included in the price of your experience.

Wanyama Safari

The Wanyama Safari is open to all Guests, ages 10 and over. Women who are pregnant should not go on the Safari due to the bumpy nature of the Safari Ride, much like Kilimanjaro Safaris,

Check in begins at 3 20 PM, outside of Jiko – The Cooking Place. There will be a brief Pre-Safari Reception from 3 30 – 4 PM before leaving promptly at 4 PM for the Safari.

You spend the next 90 minutes exploring 46 acres of the Savannah and learning all about the animals that live there and the Resort in which the animals call home.

For Guests with food allergies dietary restrictions, you can let them know what these restrictions are at the time of registration.

Restaurants almost always have additional menu items that aren’t on the regular menu, but are on hand in the kitchen.
