Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration At The Disneyland Resort
What is “Pop Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration”?
This event is like walking inside of a Mickey cartoon. Between the balloons, Mickey statues, and bows, you’re never going to want to leave.
But, don’t take too long. The whole experience only lasts 1 1/2 hours!
Pop Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration opens on April 26, 2019, in the Downtown Disney District.
You start out in Plane Crazy, the 1928 black and white Mickey short that started it all. You can even pose as Mickey’s copilot!
You’ll make your way through the history of Mickey Mouse, finally ending in the Finale Room.
This room showcases just how important Mickey is to Disneyland. Here, you will pose inside an 8-foot Mickey balloon, surrounded by a backdrop of bright balloons.
Pro Tip: Don’t forget to look for Hidden Minnies while you’re there! We’ve been told that there are more than a dozen! If you’ve found any, we’d love to see!
Food and Merchandise
No Disney celebration is complete without treats and merchandise.
While there are no food and drinks allowed inside of the venue, there will be special treats to purchase and bring home with you.
A Mickey Mouse-shaped fudge on a stick and metallic Mickey Mouse cake pops will be available at Marceline’s Confectionery.
Unfortunately, these treats are only available to Guests who have attended the event. You will be asked to show your Event Ticket when purchasing these special Pop Up Disney! treats. So, be sure to save your tickets!
If you want to bring home some special Disney souvenirs, there will be plenty to choose from. Apparel and accessories, ball caps, sparkle cinch sacks, tumblers, and popcorn buckets will all be available during this event.
