Early Morning Magic – Is the experience worth the price?

September 23, 2018

No, I’m talking about Extra Magic Hours. Extra Magic Hours are extra hours given to Guests to either get into the Parks earlier in the morning or stay after the Park closes for the night. This Perk is completely free, and only available for Guests with a Hotel Reservation on Disney property. Each of the 4 Walt Disney World Theme Parks do Extra Magic Hours on select nights.

Today we’re talking about Early Morning Magic, a separately ticketed event that allows Guests in the Park at 7 30 AM for what Disney calls a ” limited-entry, first-access experience” into the Park. The ticketed event runs from 7 30 AM to 9 AM.

Just how limited is this experience? Disney has a cap as to how many tickets are sold for these events, so once that number has been sold, no more entries will be allowed. While we don’t know exactly what that number is, the feedback I’ve heard from this event has been that the Park felt “empty.”

What is the price for this event?

$75 per adult and $69 per child. This does not include the cost of your Park Ticket. Both much be purchased before you will be granted access to the event.

What is included?

Magic Kingdom

  • 7 45 AM access into Fantasyland
  • Unlimited Prix Fixe Breakfast from 8 AM to 10 AM at Pinocchio Village Haus
  • Unlimited rides on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Peter Pan’s Flight

Hollywood Studios

  • 7 45 AM access into Toy Story Land
  • Unlimited Prix Fixe Breakfast from 8 AM to 10 AM
  • Unlimited rides on Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers and Toy Story Mania!
  • Opportunities to meet Buzz, Woody and Jessie.

How to make the most of your ticket?

This limited event is open from 7 30 AM through 9 AM on select days. Breakfast is open until 10 AM. If you want to make the most of your time, we would suggest hitting up all the rides right when you get there. Enjoy 1 1/2 hours riding whatever you want with little to no wait.

At 9 AM, the Parks open for the day, flooding the streets with day Guests. This is when I would take advantage of that meal (since you already paid for it). You will have 1 hour left to eat that unlimited Breakfast, so take advantage of that.

Is Early Magic Hours worth the price?

Well, that’s really up to you. If you want to ride the available rides multiple times in that limited 1 1/2 hour, then definitely use that time to do so. You will get to ride them more during this time than you will spending a while day in these Parks.

You will also get to experience a nearly empty Park, perfect for taking those once in a lifetime photos. It’s something that most people wish for, but few ever get to experience.

How to get these tickets

You can find these tickets online or you may call the Disney Reservation Center at (407) 827-7350.
