Simple Park-Worthy Halloween Costumes To Wear In The Disney Parks

If you’re heading to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party or Oogie Boogie Bash this year, half the fun is picking out a costume.

Halloween is one of my favorite times to visit the Disney Parks. Between the decorations, special entertainment, and seeing everyone’s creative costumes, it just feels different.

Simple is best.

Florida is still hot, even after the sun goes down. You’ll be walking, waiting in line, and trick-or-treating for hours, so a lightweight costume will be much more comfortable than something bulky.

Whether you’re looking for matching family costumes, DisneyBounding ideas, or something easy for the kids to wear, here are some of my favorite park-friendly Halloween costumes.

You’ll One of the things I love most about Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is that adults get to join in on the fun, too. You’ll see everything from elaborate family costumes to simple Disney-inspired outfits, and that’s part of what makes the party so much fun.

Before you start shopping, though, there are a few things to keep in mind.

  • Choose lightweight fabrics whenever possible.
  • Wear comfortable walking shoes, even if they aren’t part of the costume.
  • Skip anything that’s bulky or difficult to sit in on attractions.
  • Leave costume weapons and other prohibited accessories at home.

Before you pack your costume, take a minute to look over Disney’s official Theme Park Dress & Costume Guidelines. The rules don’t change often, but it’s an easy way to avoid any surprises when you arrive.
