Planning 101 Vacation Planner

Why You Should Book Your 2027 Walt Disney World Vacation RIGHT NOW

April 28, 2026

If you’re planning a Walt Disney World vacation in 2027, you’ve probably asked yourself this:

“Should I book now…or wait for discounts?”

It sounds like a smart question.

But when you’re planning a Disney vacation, waiting is the number one reason people end up paying more, miss out on things they wanted, and compromise just to get a trip they feel comfortable taking.

Here’s how this actually works.

Why Waiting for Disney World Discounts Can Cost You More

Disney does release deals every year. That part is true.

But what most people don’t realize is that while you’re waiting for a discount, Disney is slowly raising the price. That’s why so many families book during a promotion and still feel like it’s more expensive than they expected.

Disney increases ticket and resort prices regularly. Ticket prices usually go up in the fall, and resort prices tend to increase at the start of the year.

And you can actually watch this happen in real time.

When events like Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party (dates are now out – stay tuned for that post) and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party go on sale, interest picks up.

You’ve already got families who were already planning a trip. But now you have a whole new group who weren’t even thinking about it suddenly start start planning their trips after seeing all the fun everyone else is having.

And when there’s a higher demand, prices follow.

It happens every year. But once you start to notice that pattern, it gets a lot easier to understand why booking earlier is the way to go.

What Happens When You Book Early

The good news about Disney packages is that you’re not locking yourself into something you can’t change. At this stage, we’re really just choosing your resort, your tickets, and maybe adding a Dining Plan or Memory Maker.

Really, we’re just getting your trip on the books before Disney stars raising the prices.

And that’s where this really works in your favor.

Because the earlier you book, you’re giving yourself the best shot at getting what you want. This is especially important if you’re trying to travel during school breaks, over the holidays, or any other high-demand time of year.

Families who wait are usually the ones who end up compromising. They don’t get the resort or the room they wanted, and they’re probably paying more for it. That’s what we’re trying to avoid.

We lock in the lower price now, so when a promotion comes out later, you’re not scrambling to pull everything together. You already have your hotel booked. We’re just lowering the price you’re paying for it.

And if you’re working with me, I handle that for you automatically. Nothing makes me happier than sending that email after I saved a client money on a promo they didn’t even know they got released.

Why 2027 Isn’t the Year to Wait

Disney has confirmed that Tropical Americas is opening in 2027, but they haven’t released an exact date yet.

That’s pretty normal.

What we do know is what’s coming. There will be a new Encanto ride, a new Indiana Jones adventure ride, and a carousel with Disney animal figures.

On top of that, Disney is bringing back a full lineup of on-site perks for 2027, including those complimentary water park tickets that they’ve been doing for the past few years.

Deluxe Dining plans are also back, giving families more sit down options with that ability to lock in food costs ahead of time.

So if a 2027 Walt Disney World vacation is on your radar, you’ll have a lot to look forward to. You’ll just want to be set up early so you’re not paying more than you should be.
