Highway In The Sky Dine Around

October 27, 2018

I like to think that I know a lot about Disney and all there is to do on property. After all, I do this for a living.

But, every once in awhile, I find something that completely catches me off guard. And when it happens, all that pops in to my head is, “How in the world have I never heard about this before?”

Today was one of those days…

Highway in the Sky Dine Around

When you hear, “highway in the sky,” the first thing that comes to mind is the Monorail.

No, you don’t eat in the Monorail. Although, how awesome would that be? I’d totally sign up for that!

Although you don’t eat in the Monorail, it does play a major part in this one-of-a-kind experience. You step aboard the Monorail to get to various restaurants along its route. This means you will be eating at The Contemporary, The Polynesian, and The Grand Floridian in just a few hours.

What can you expect from this experience?

Your adventure begins in the Contemporary Resort, at The Wave…of American Flavors. Here, you will enjoy an appetizer and a cocktail before heading to the Monorail for your next adventure.

Your next stop takes you to the Polynesian, where you will feast on some island-inspired appetizers and drinks.

Make sure you leave room for more because you will once again take a ride on the Monorail. This time, it will take you to the Grand Floridian. This is where you will sip champagne and feast on a selection of cheeses and charcuterie. You will also be treated to a special Chef’s main course selection.

The Finale

Just when you think your experience is finished, you will board the Monorail one last time. You will loop back around to the Contemporary, where you and your party will be escorted to a private patio to enjoy an assortment of desserts, cordials, and coffee.

Your magical experience ends with a breathtaking view of Happily Ever After, the nighttime firework and projection show that lights up Cinderella’s Castle every night, from this exclusive, prime location. It doesn’t get more magical than that!

Dress Code

Signature Dining does come with a dress code. While it’s not as fancy as say, Victoria and Albert’s, you will have to be more dressed up than your typical day in the Parks. So, you will need to remember this when packing for your vacation.

Men are required to wear khakis, slacks or dress shorts and collared shirts. Jeans may be worn if in good condition. Sport coats are optional.

Women must wear Capri pants, skirts, dresses, or dress shorts. Jeans may be worn if they’re in good condition.

You will not be allowed to wear tank tops, flip flops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, hats (for guys), cut-offs, torn clothing, and t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics.

Pricing

As you can imagine, there is a steep price tag that comes with such luxury. This experience will cost you $170, per person, gratuity included.

Dining Plans are not accepted.

Reservations

Reservations can be found online or the My Disney Experience app. Cancellations must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance to avoid having the full amount of the experience charged to the credit card on file. The penalty is greater due to the value of the experience.
