You may have noticed that there is an update for the My Disney Experience App.
I, for one, am happy to see that overall app performance seems to have been enhanced. As someone who uses the App quite a lot, both for myself and when I am assisting my Clients, sometimes it’s just easier to hop onto Safari and access My Disney Experience from there (especially when I am not home and I need to make some quick adjustments).
But, the biggest addition that I am excited to see is Bus Times!
I have found, from personal experience, that nothing is more frustrating than getting to the Bus Stop, just to find out that the bus JUST left. With return times of roughly 15 – 20 minutes, that’s time that could have been better spend doing something else than waiting for the bus to come back around.
Some resorts have posted return times for the buses, but you still have to make it to the Bus Stop to see when they will be back.
With the addition of Bus Times on the App, you will be able to access that information BEFORE you leave your hotel room. Just miss the bus? Spend a few more minutes getting ready or grabbing a bite to eat…you have time…
How Accurate is this new information?
This new feature was just released yesterday, June 18th 2018, so only time will tell as to its accuracy. However, Disney has stated that the times are regularly updated using real-time to give their Guests the newest information regarding the location of their buses.
Why can’t I see the bus times on my Updated App?
Upon further studying, it looks as though this new feature is only able to be accessed starting on your check-in date.
Will these updates include buses traveling from the Parks to Disney Resorts?
Disney had to start somewhere. At this time, the only Bus updates that are available are those traveling from the Resorts to the Parks and Disney Springs. Traveling back to the Resorts will be the same guessing game, for now. They are currently working on expanding the system to include Buses leaving the Parks and Disney Springs.

June 19, 2018 at 2:43 pmThis is a great new feature! We will definitely be using this when we go. I hope they do implement from-park-to-hotel bus times as well, but this is a great start!
That being said, it is kind of exciting to get to the bus stop and wonder when yours will be the one to pull up…but, yes, it’s horribly frustrating when you get there and its an empty queue and your bus is pulling away. 🙁

June 19, 2018 at 2:48 pmWe’ve waved down a few bus drivers to wait for us more times than I care to admit. Lol. Luckily they’re really nice about it. Unfortunately that usually means we’re standing the whole ride, too.
