No Scanning, No Clicking…Just Shop Your Way To A Free Vacation

February 24, 2018

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am always on the hunt for apps or little tricks to fund my vacations without using our Paychecks to do it.

But, if you’re someone who thinks that you don’t have the time to log onto Swagbucks or scan receipts (you know who you are!), then you’re all out of excuses because I have found an app that requires you to do nothing else than go shopping.

When I find an app that I like, I test it out for a little while before promoting it. I strive to do my best to help my readers reach their financial dreams, whether it be a family Vacation or something else, so the last thing I want to do is promote something that ends up not helping anyone.

Enter Dosh

IMG_0650.PNGTo be honest, I sat on this one for long while before I even tried it out myself. The reason you can still earn money without scanning receipts or clicking buttons is because you will need to link your credit card before getting started.

Now before you get all mad and exit this post, just hear me out…

I was like you. Skeptical and unwilling to give up such valuable information. I was pretty much convinced there was some crazy operation going on behind the scenes, so I started reading the reviews to pretty much convince myself I was doing the right thing by NOT signing up.

I could not find that proof I was looking for.

Instead, I read reviews on how great it was and how easy it was because you didn’t have to remember to scan barcodes before throwing the packaging away or remembering to scan a receipt before it was too late to do so. I found people raving at how much money they were making for just shopping at stores they normally did anyway. No one had any privacy invaded or money stolen. There was none of that.

I even went so far as to read their privacy statements and find out exactly what they were going to use my information for. Turns out, they don’t use it for much. They just need to see the Store name and dollar amount spent, so they can see how much money to give you back. That was the end of their involvement with your card.

In the end, I decided that it was no different than giving an app my PayPal account to deposit money into (although, if it’s possible, I opt for a Target Gift Card because of that 5% off Disney Gift Cards!). So, I caved in and signed up for the very app I was convinced I would never sign up for.

It has been one month since signing up and I have not gotten any weird activity on my card. No one has contacted me for fraud or spam. There’s been none of that.

Instead, I got $5 right away for signing up. (However, lucky for you, if you use this Referral link, you will receive $10 right away)

Within the first week of using the app, I had gotten cash back from Sam’s Club (because I needed to do a little grocery shopping) and Hallmark (because I needed to get my dad a birthday card). And since Dosh doesn’t see anything more than the name of the store and the amount spent, I totally used Hallmark rewards and coupons to get my niece a little something for Valentine’s day and I still got my cash back.

In every instance, I haven’t even been to the car yet and my phone was alerting me that I had received money back from Dosh. It’s really that fast!

Once I cash out, that money goes right into my Vacation Fund! I can’t wait for my next Free Vacation!
