Disney is so much more than the rides (although, they are pretty great!). As much as I really look forward to riding everything, I also go to Disney to watch the shows. There are some amazing ones out there, so I’m excited to see another one.
Next year, Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be celebrating it’s 20th anniversary, which is making me feel incredibly old since the very first time I went to Disney World, Animal Kingdom wasn’t even a thing!

This new show will revolve around Senior Wilderness Explorer Russell and his furry friend Dug from the movie “Up”. You will join them as they discover species of birds from around the world in their newest adventure at the Caravan Theater in Anandapur village. My son loves all animals and aspires to take care of every animal in the world, so this is one show that we will have to see once it opens.
I know what you’re thinking…”Isn’t there already a show with birds in Animal Kingdom?” Yes, there is…for now. Unfortunately, December 31, 2017 will be the final showing of Flights of Wonder. While I do not have an opening date for the new “UP” show, Flights of Wonder will close at the end of the year to prepare for the new show. Not to worry, we will let you know when the show is slated to open when we find out!
