Hello friends!
I was born and raised in Rochester, NY. About 8 years ago, I relocated to Houston with my husband and 2 boys. If that wasn’t enough of a surprise, we recently added another boy to the family. So, I am now a proud mama of 3 handsome boys. 🙂
There may not be many Princess dresses or tiaras hanging around my house. But, we have PLENTY of Marvel to make up for it.
My First Trip
Growing up, I had 3 loves: Bowling, Backstreet Boys, and Disney (not necessarily in that order).
My very first trip to Walt Disney World was in 1988, when I was just 6 years old.
After returning home, I spent months listening to the Baroque Hoedown, better known as the Electrical Parade theme song, and “Mickey and Minnie On A Moonlit Night” on my little Fisher Price record player.
To this day I’m convinced that I am the only person who remembers the latter.
Although I was only able to go to Walt Disney World once during my childhood, it’s always held a special place in my heart.
So, as soon as I had my own kids, I started dreaming about taking them to this special place. I didn’t know how I was going to get there. But, I was determined to do it.
Even I couldn’t predict what would come next. That “once-in-a-lifetime” vacation turned into something more. I was paving my way to a new career. And it was one where I get to talk about Disney to anyone who is willing to listen.

Explore With Catherine started after years spent learning all I could about Disney. I believe that the lessons I learned while trying to plan my family’s trip allows me to help others.
What seemed like a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take my kids on a Disney Vacation has turned into something much more than I ever expected.
Using the information I know now, I have been fortunate enough to take my family on vacation multiple times now. And to think…we’re just getting started.
