If you’re planning a trip to Orlando, booking a Premier Hotel at Universal Studios, can be a great option. Although they do have a higher price point, there are a lot of positives that come with staying at one of these Hotels.
There are three Premier Hotels at Universal Studios Orlando:
- Loews Royal Pacific Resort
- Hard Rock Hotel
- Loews Portofino Bay Hotel
When it comes to planning any trip, choosing the right hotel can make all the difference. But, with the added perks and luxurious accommodations that Premier Hotels at Universal Studios Orlando provides, staying at one of these Hotels is an excellent way to enhance your vacation experience and create lifelong memories.

Free Unlimited Express Passes
By far, the biggest benefit of Premier Hotels at Universal Studios Orlando are the Free Unlimited Express Passes.
If you’ve ever considered getting them, then you’ll know just how expensive they are. You can easily spend $200+ per person, per day, just on Express Passes. But, Guests staying at Premier Hotels get Unlimited Express Passes for your entire stay.
Not only do you get front row access to most of the rides at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, you can save thousands of dollars, depending on how many people are in your room and how many days you’re spending at the Parks.
If you’re planning to during a busy time, upgrading to a Premier Hotel is a great option
Although we do consider staying at a Premier Hotel the best option for those wanting to get Express Passes, we also have ticket specials that include Express Passes.
Whether you’re staying at a different Universal Studios Hotel, staying off-site, or your Disney vacation also includes at least 2 days at Universal, we can help you save some money on your next vacation.

Close Proximity To The Theme Parks
If you’ve ever vacationed at the Orlando Theme Parks, then you know just how busy free transportation can get. This is especially true first thing in the morning and late at night after the Parks have closed.
The less expensive the Hotels are, the further away you are from City Walk, meaning you are going to rely on that free transportation to get you there.
Luckily, each of the Premier Hotels are within walking distance from the Parks. Each of the three Hotels will only take you about 10-15 minutes and have a walking path to help you get to where you’re going. If you don’t mind adding a few more steps to your day, you can skip the free transportation options altogether.

Early Park Admission
If you’re an early riser, taking advantage of Early Park Admission can be a great way to beat the crowds and get a head start on your favorite rides and attractions, such as those in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. These attractions tend to get crowded quickly. So, if you can get to them first thing in the morning, you’ll have a shorter wait than waiting until later on in the day.
It’s good to note that not all attractions and rides may be open. However, many of the most popular ones are typically available. So, I always suggest having the Universal Studios Orlando App downloaded onto your phone to keep track of open attractions and their wait times.

Priority Seating at Select Restaurants
If you’re planning some sit down meals at Universal Studios Orlando, then staying at a Premier Hotel can definitely help you out with that. We know that your vacation time is limited. So, not having to wait for a table can help keep you out of long lines, so you get back to the attractions.
Keep in mind that priority seating does not always mean you’ll be seated right away. But, it does reduce the time you’ll be waiting for your table.
Understanding and booking dining reservations at Universal Studios Orlando can be a little tricky. Not all restaurants are owned by Universal Studios, which means not every restaurant qualifies for priority seating. And, unlike their competition down the road, there isn’t a central system in which to book your dining reservations.
But, all restaurants are located on the map, in the Universal Studios Orlando App. Clicking the menu, under Dining Details, will bring you to each restaurant’s web page, where you’ll be able to reserve your table.

Highly-Themed Kids Suites
Kids’ Suites aren’t unique to just the Premier Resorts. But, the highly-themed rooms are. If you have a kids who are fans of the Minions or Jurassic World, these rooms are perfect for them.
Despicable Me Kids’ Suites, at Portofino Bay, and Jurassic World Kids’ Suites, at Royal Pacific, give kids their own space, complete with twin sized beds.
While these suites are fantastic for families, there is one thing to note about room occupancy. Universal Studios does allow families of 5 to book these rooms. This great news for those of us with more than 2 kids.
But, unless you co-sleep with one of your children, a rollaway bed, crib, or pack and play will need to be requested. They are subject to availability, so getting one is not guaranteed. And although there’s no extra cost for a crib or pack and play, the rollaway beds have a $25 per day charge.
