In honor of National Coffee Day this week, I thought I’d talk about something I’ve been loving a whole lot right now. Joffrey’s Specialty Disney Collection Coffee. I recently bought my first few bags and I have been loving it.
I was never a coffee drinker. My grandpa would get coffee whenever we went out. He’d drink it straight out of the pot. No sugar. No creamer. Nothing extra added. Depending on where we went, he’d comment about how lousy it tasted. So many times I’d wonder, “If coffee tastes that bad, why does he continue to drink it?”
Fast forward to my early 30’s. I spent my days teaching little ones. We had amazing parents who would show their appreciation for us with treats or coffee gift cards. I appreciated them so much. And it wasn’t just because they spoiled us rotten.
Never one to let a perfectly good Gift Card go to waste, I’d get juice or a snack most of the time. But, after a coworker convinced me to try a heavenly concoction of iced coffee, lots of sugar, chocolate, and whipped cream, I knew there was no turning back.
I still blame her for my coffee addiction. But, honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Joffrey’s Disney Specialty Coffee Collection
Although you do find Starbucks in every Disney Park and in the shopping districts around Walt Disney World and Disneyland, Joffrey’s is the official coffee of Disney Parks and Resorts.
Proving that they’re worthy of that title, Joffrey’s Roastmaster worked with Disney’s world-class chefs to create exclusive blends you’ll only find on Disney property.
You won’t find these exact blends off Disney property. But, knowing that we Disney fans want to get their hands on anything Disney-inspired, Joffrey’s has made these blends available online. So, now you don’t even have to book a trip to try them all! (Although this Travel Agent still thinks you should 🙂 )
There are currently 28 different blends to choose from, with more being released all the time. Their most recent addition is the very same blend you find at Topolino’s Terrace at Walt Disney World’s Riviera Resort.
If you have multiple coffee drinkers in the house, or you like to sip on the good stuff all day long (no judging here), Joffrey’s also sells the Disney blends as part of their coffee subscription service.
The first Thursday of every month, you’ll receive a rotation of 3 coffee blends from whichever collection you choose.
As much as I would love to join this subscription, I am the only coffee drinker in the house. And since I typically drink 1 cup of coffee per day, 3 bags of per month is just too much for my household.
However, if Joffrey’s ever decided to introduce a seasonal subscription or reduce the number of bags sent to me each month, I’d sign up for that!
I find their prices to be pretty reasonable, especially for a product associated with Disney.
Bags of ground, whole bean, and french press coffee run anywhere from $12.99 to $19.99 per bag. To make clean up a breeze, I use these Natural Brown Unbleached Paper Coffee Filters with this highly rated 24k cup reusable filter.
Single serve pods and K-cups are available in French Roast and French Bistro only. Both of these blends are found in-room at hotels within Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Like most single serve pods and k-cups, these are more expensive. However, they do come in fairly large quantities, bringing the cost to $.50 to $.70 per serving.
As expected, the Disney Signature Coffee Collection is the most expensive subscription. But, at $43.69 per month for 3 bags, you’re paying $14.56 per blend.
If you know me, you probably already know that I don’t pay full price for anything.
Thanks to Honey, they were automatically able to apply a few coupon codes at checkout to look for the best savings. Unfortunately, current codes don’t apply to subscriptions.
