Disney-themed Easter treats have always been a tradition in our family. But as the kids get older, it’s harder to find things that they’re actually going to like. So, in some ways, we’ve moved past this a little bit… at least with the older two.
Of course, video games are always on their wish lists. But, they’re too expensive to load up a basket with them. And I really don’t like loading them up with pounds and pounds of sugar. So, if you’re like me, searching for alternatives to the usual candy, here are some Disney-themed Easter basket ideas.
Easter Egg Fillers
Disney Pins
Disney pins are one of the most popular souvenirs. And since they’re small, it makes Disney pins perfect for Easter eggs.
Now, there’s 2 routes you can go. Retailers, like Amazon, is the perfect place to find large packs of Disney pins for a very reasonable price. However, regardless of how they’re listed, more likely than not, they’re going to be scrappers (AKA fake pins).
Many Guests buy these pins for the purpose of trading them away in the Parks. So, authenticity isn’t always a priority. But, if you’re buying them for the a collection, the only way to ensure that you’re getting authentic Disney pins is to buy them straight from the Disney Store or in the Parks.
Gift Cards
Who doesn’t like a Gift Card? I’ve mentioned it many times on this blog. But, my boys always get a Gift card before each trip. We give them no restrictions on what they get. They just need to stay within their budget. So, finding a Disney Gift Card in their Easter basket is always something they’re happy to find.
Buying reasonably priced gifts for teenagers can be tough. But, one thing they’ll never grow out of is Gift Cards.
**Tip: If you have multiple Disney Gift Cards, don’t carry all of them to Disney. Combine the balances onto one card! The balance transfers immediately and Gift Cards are great way to stay on budget!**
Jewelry and Accessories
Because Easter eggs are so small, it can be hard to find little trinkets and collectibles that aren’t candy. Sometimes you have to look around a little bit. But, eventually you’ll find something that fits perfectly inside an Easter egg. But, here are a few examples:
- Winnie The Pooh Funko Pop Keychain
- Stitch Necklace
- Wish Compass Double Necklace
- Minnie Mouse Earring Set
Easter Basket Ideas
Plush
Who doesn’t love a cute plush? Plushs are great gifts because they look great in an easter basket, they take up a lot of space, and many are reasonably priced. Here are some of the cutest options online right now:
- Mickey Mouse Easter Bunny
- Minnie Mouse Easter Bunny
- Stitch Easter Bunny
- Angel Easter Bunny
- Figment Cuddleez Plush
- Darkwing Duck Plush
- Set of 5 Disney 100 Squishmallows
- Clod Plush
Toys
Who doesn’t love a good Disney toy? Because I try to steer away from filling Easter baskets full of candy, I love adding little toys that kids can play with longer than the candy would last. There is a large number of Disney toys on the market, it’s pretty easy to find little toys to fill Easter baskets.
- Funko Pocket Pop – Disney Princesses
- Funko Pocket Pop – Marvel

MagicBands and Accessories
Nothing get someone more excited for their upcoming vacation than a MagicBand. So, if you’re going on a Disney vacation in the near future, MagicBands make great gifts. As long as you live in the United States, MagicBands are shipped directly to your house shortly after you purchase them. So, you’re no longer waiting until a few weeks before your trip to get them.
And if you’re getting a new Band, don’t forget your BitBelt! As great as MagicBands are, the clasps are less than perfect. This means that there is always a change of it falling off during your vacation.
After almost losing my MagicBand on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, I vowed to never travel to a Disney Park without a BitBelt again. For just a few dollars, I know that my Magicband is secure and I won’t have to worry about losing it again.
Legos
There’s no denying that Legos can get expensive. It’s definitely not a cheap hobby. But, the options that I’m showing are some of the smaller sets, meaning they’re not as expensive as some of the others. And since they’re smaller sets, they fit into an Easter basket easier than the very large sets.
- Asha’s Cottage from Wish
- Up House
- Mini Ariel’s Castle
- Moana’s Wayfinding Boat
- The Little Mermaid Story Book
- Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Camping Trip
- Lego Minifigures
- Baby Groot Figure
