The last time we made the 14 hour drive to Walt Disney World was a few years ago. At that time, Disney offered free parking to their Guests. It was one of the main perks that that I loved about staying on property.
Maybe if I did pay for parking, I would have used my car more. But, considering we never even touched it once, I’m glad we didn’t. And now that Disney is charging to park your car overnight at the Resorts, it doesn’t look like we’ll be driving anytime soon.
Even if you manage to book when plane tickets are low, driving to Orlando is often cheaper. But, once you add up the parking costs for parking your car at your Resort, you may not be saving as much as you think.

Standard Overnight Parking Fees
Updated: January 2020
- Value Resorts: $15 per night
- Moderate Resorts: $20 per night
- Deluxe and Deluxe Villas: $25 per night
- Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness receive complimentary Standard Parking for ONE motorized vehicle.
Valet Parking is available at select Disney Deluxe Resorts and Disney Deluxe Villas for $33 per night.
For Disney Vacation Club Members, standard overnight self-parking is complimentary when you stay at a DVC Deluxe Villa, regardless of payment.
Parking is also complimentary when Members use vacation points to stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. If you pay with any other form of payment, the standard overnight self-parking fees do apply.

Are there Parking fees for Guests during the day?
Some of the best restaurants are located at Disney Resorts. So, it only makes sense that you would want to visit these Resorts whenever possible.
Since Parking fees only apply to overnight Resort Guests, complimentary self-parking is still available during the day.
However, due to space, a reservation may be required to Park at the Resort certain days of the year.
Holidays, such as the 4th of July and New Year’s Eve, bring in record breaking crowds. Resorts surrounding the Magic Kingdom are able to see the nighttime fireworks. So, many Guests choose to watch the nighttime shows fireworks from these Resorts to avoid some of the crowds.
During these times, you are more than welcome to visit the Resort. But, Guests without a reservation may be asked to park at the Ticket and Transportation Center (TTC). From there, you will take free Disney transportation back to the Resort.
Standard Parking Fees at the TTC are currently $25 (updated January 2020). Parking is complimentary for Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort.
