New Place For Kids To Play At Disney’s Contemporary Resort (While Parents Have A Date Night)

March 12, 2018

Even if you’re not familiar with Disney’s Contemporary Resort, you may recognize it by it’s shape. It is that trapezoid- like shaped Resort (or A-frame) where the Monorail goes right through the Hotel. Not only is it special for being one of the 2 original Resorts to open in 1971 with the Grand Opening of Walt Disney World (the other being Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort), it is in one of the best locations on Property. It is accessible by Car, Monorail, Bus, and by Water Taxi. Plus, if you’re in the Magic Kingdom, it is also about a 10 minute walk to the Resort.

Maybe the location of this Wonderful Resort was the reasoning why Disney decided this was the perfect Resort to launch a brand new pilot program where children, ages 4 to 12, to have a playful and immersive Pixar character experience.

Starting April 13th, 2018, kids will be transported to a world full of excitement and adventure with their favorite characters from Toy Story and The Incredibles each night.

Kids will get to be a part of Space Ranger Training where they will learn how to identify and battle enemies of the Star Command, just like Buzz Lightyear world. Then, Woody and Jessie will show up and teach them how to handle the Wild West during Woody’s Roundup.

During the Piston Cup Challenge, youngsters will be able to build a race car, then race it on the Radiator Springs Racetrack.

And finally, kids will bust a move during the Incredible Dance Party with Mr. Incredible and Mrs. Incredible.

Along with the fun and games, dinner and dessert will be provided, as well, so parents don’t have to worry about feeding their kids as soon as they are picked up.

Registration begins at 5 PM and the program will run from 6 – 10:30 PM for a fee of $65 per child (plus tax). The only requirement is that all children must be fully toilet-trained.

After the parents drop off their kids, they are free to have a much-needed date night or go exploring the entire Walt Disney World Resort. The night is yours.
