I can’t be the only one who thinks “This is huge!”
Up until now, Mobile Ordering has only been available for guests who pay for their food using a Credit Card. Which meant that if you were paying with any other method of payment, including the Meal Plan, you were forced to deal with the lines, the crowd, and the wait for your food to be made.
How I envied the guests in the Mobile Ordering line (or lack of it)…but not anymore!
Mobile Order will now accept any of the three Disney Dining Plans: the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, the Disney Dining Plan, and the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan. These guests can redeem meals and snacks in Mobile Order, giving them more free time to do what they actually want to do on vacation.
Make sure you updated the My Disney Experience App on your phone!
To access Mobile Order, Guests can tap the “Order Food” button under “My Plans” in the app. If you have the Disney Dining Plan included in a package and linked to their reservation, it will automatically appear as a payment option while you are ordering. (Disney gift cards and discounts are still not accepted through Mobile Order at this time.)
Restaurants currently accepting Mobile Ordering are:
- Aloha Isle
- Casey’s Corner
- Columbia Harbour House
- Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café
- The Lunching Pad
- Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe
- Pinocchio Village Haus
- Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant **Location operates seasonally.
Other updates to the app feature: room charge viewing, Online Check-In Service and wayfinding (the last 2, I assume, is just a refresh and updating the systems they already had in place because they were already in the app). These improvements are efforts to improve the overall vacation experience for Guests.
