With all the publicity surrounding Pandora, it’s easy to forget the Disneyland has some exciting improvements of their own. Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout opened last week and although I have not been lucky enough to experience it myself yet, it sounds like a hit!
Fans were sad when it was announced that the Tower of Terror was leaving California Adventure, myself included. I love the Tower of Terror…even though it’s one of these rides I have to ride alone because no one wants to go on with me 🙁
So, what exactly is left of Tower of Terror?
The ride, itself, is a lot like Tower of Terror. Obviously, it is the same loud, dark ride with those huge exciting drops. However, there are a lot more color, interaction, and story with Guardians of the Galaxy than Tower of Terror had.
The Summer of Heroes
It wouldn’t be Disney if they didn’t come up with some crazy food concoctions to pair up with the new ride. And The Summer of Heroes has so much food that it is impossible to leave hungry.
Whatever you are in the mood for, California Adventure probably has it. From tacos to nachos to the many different treats, Disney has come up with a bunch of new food to celebrate The Summer of Heroes.
Special food can be found in the following places for The Summer of Heroes:
- Award Wieners – Funnel Cake Fries and Pudding
- Schmoozies – Donuts and Smoothies
- Bifrosties – Shaved Ice
- Cosmic Canteen – Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic drinks and Jalapeno Cheese Bread
- Fairfax Market – Sourdough Bread
- Studio Catering Co. – Sub, Pita, Drinks, and Parfait
- Knowhere Eats – Tacos, Nachos, Horchata, and Margaritas
**Vegetarian options are also available for the The Most Dangerous Tacos in the Galaxy, Obviously Nachos, and the Space Outpost Tacos!
