You know the ride I’m talking about… Ever since I was little, Peter Pan’s Flight has been one of my favorite rides. From the Cast Members sprinkling Pixie Dust on your safety bar, to flying through London and Neverland, I just can’t get enough of it. And with no height restrictions, even the littlest Guest is able to ride. Unfortunately, everyone else loves this ride as much as I do. So, unless you can grab one of those fastpasses, you’ll have a long wait ahead of you.
That’s why, in 2014, an interactive queue was added to the standby line. While the line is still long, at least you can have some fun while you wait.
Interactive Queues
Waiting in line at Disney Word is inevitable. Even on “slow” days, you’re not going to find many rides where you can walk right up to and ride. We have gone during one of these “slow” days and the most popular rides still had wait times of over 2 hours! Sorry, Disney. As much as I love you, I will NOT be standing in 2 hour long lines to ride.
I admit, parts of the queue are a little tight. But they didn’t have a huge footprint to work with in the first place. At least the queue is air conditioned.
The decor makes you feel as if you have walked into the Darling’s house and right in to the bedroom of Wendy, John, and Michael. The portraits, the beds, the toys…there is so much to look at.
I usually ride first thing in the morning when the line is low or when I have a fastpass, so while we’re lucky enough to avoid the hour-long line, there is so much to see that sometimes I actually wish I had more time to look around and see everything. I don’t often wish that wait times were longer, but watching Tink “fly” around and creating mischief is so much fun.
You may not always know when it’s going to happen, but when it does, it’s Magic!
We love watching Tink go fluttering around the room, spreading magic to whatever she touched.
Your shadow can also play with the bells above their heads! We rang a few as we walked through the queue to the front of the line. 🙂
And with just a sprinkle of pixie dust we were off and flying through Neverland. Here we goooooo….
