January 31, 2025

If you’re looking for a hotel that will give you everthing you need, makes the planning process easier, while also falling within your budget, you absolutely need to consider a Walt Disney World Value Resort.

In fact, they’re fun, colorful, and perfect for families who plan to spend most of their time in the Parks. With big, vibrant theming and plenty of kid-friendly perks, these Resorts keep things affordable. So, if you’re looking for a place that’s all about the fun, without blowing the budget, a Value Resort may be exatly what you’re looking for.

Is Staying on Property Worth It?

There’s something truly special about staying in the Disney bubble—it just makes everything feel easier. Plus, it comes with some awesome perks that help make your trip even smoother.

Early Access to Lightning Lanes: You can book 3 Lightning Lanes 7 days in advance—a major advantage over off-site Guests. If hitting your favorite attractions is a top priority, it’s a no-brainer.

Free Transportation Everywhere: Forget about renting a car, paying for parking, surprise fees, or rideshares. Disney has complimetary transportation to make getting around a breeze. Plus, Disney transportation runs constantly—so you’re never stuck waiting for a scheduled shuttle or scrambling to catch a bus – unlike many off-site hotels.

Extra Park Entry: Think 30 extra minutes isn’t a big deal? Think again. Popular rides can go from a walk-on to 1+ hours in no time. You can knock out at least one major ride before the crowds arrive—no Lightning Lane needed.

No Surprise Fees: Off-site hotels love to tack on extra fees—often without warning. The closer you are, the more likely you are to get hit with unexpected costs. But at a Disney Resort, there’s no extra fees—making it much easier to stick to your budget.

The All-Star Resorts

1.All-Star Music

    • Theme: A celebration of different music genres, from Jazz to Rock.
    • Why It Stands Out: Features Family Suites that sleep up to 6—an awesome find for larger families!
    • Best for: Families needing extra space on a budget.

    2. All-Star Movies

      • Theme: All about Disney films like Toy Story, 101 Dalmatians, and The Mighty Ducks.

      • Bright, bold Disney theming that kids love.
      • Family Suites at All-Star Music for larger groups are a great value.

      Things to Consider

      • During slower times, the All-Star Resorts share buses – which can slow down travel times.
      • Rooms are on the smaller side. If you’re traveling with a stroller, it can get in the way.

      Pop Century

Pop Century is all about nostalgia, blending iconic elements from the 1950s through the 1990s with Disney magic. You’ll spot larger-than-life icons like a giant Mickey phone, yo-yos, and even a Big Wheel. It’s this perfect mix of beloved characters and retro charm that makes it a favorite for both kids and adults. Whether you’re reliving your childhood memories or introducing the classics to your little ones, Pop Century offers something for everyone to enjoy.

      Why You’ll Love It

      • Skyliner access to Hollywood Studios & EPCOT = less time on buses, more time having fun! Families with strollers don’t need to fold them up, which is a HUGE perk.
      • One bus stop (no Resort sharing), so bus trips are quick and easy.
      • Great mix of affordability and convenience.

      Things to Consider

      • No family suites—Pop has Standard rooms only. No more than 4 people per room.
      • No direct buses to Hollywood Studios or EPCOT (you’ll take the Skyliner instead).
      • Poolside rooms can be noisy—Request a quieter area if you’re a light sleeper.

If you’re looking for all-in Disney theming, this is THE Value Resort to beat. The resort is divided into sections inspired by The Lion King, Cars, Finding Nemo, and The Little Mermaid—each one bringing its own unique Disney magic. Plus, the pool in the Cars area features cozy cone cabanas, available for free on a first-come, first-served basis. This is a huge perk for a Value Resort!

      Why You’ll Love It

      • Over-the-top Disney theming—perfect for kids (and kids at heart). If your kids love Disney movies, this the Value Resort with the most recogizable characters.

      • Skyliner access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios for easy Park transportation.

      Things to Consider
